This position calls for a discreet butler who will put their heart and soul into the care of a challenging but dynamic and entrepreneurial family. Think of this post as running a small and exquisite 5-bedroom luxury boutique hotel, which for a third of each month hosts some very discerning guests. The butler is expected to be able to fulfill the highest standards of hygiene, take fastidious care of luxury possessions (clothes, silver, furniture, art), love to cook and be well practiced in service. The post involves carrying out simple everyday administrative tasks (answering e-mails, upkeeping an agenda, forwarding mail, etc.) plus, when necessary, organizing, instructing and monitoring external workmen and delivery men. In short, an all-rounder is called for with the talent to ensure the family always feels adequately attended to. The butler will be expected to occasionally accompany the family in their travels.
This butler is perfect at anticipating and providing the correct service at the right time, bringing with them a devotion that answers the needs of their employers before they are aware of them themselves. The post offers long-term employment. A good upbringing is reflected in a neat appearance. The post calls for a non-smoker, around 45 years of age, who is free to offer highly flexible service and brings with them either experience from a similar position in a private home or 5-star hotel or is a qualified butler. A good knowledge of English is essential and German skills are an advantage. Since the butler will be put in a position of trust, they should have no debts or criminal records.
No fixed working hours. When family members are at home, long working days will be expected; overtime can be compensated when the house is empty.
